You will absolutely not find such a magnificent and beautiful place anywhere else! You will simply LOVE the way this tour has been organized. This tour is for those people who are eager to discover the land of nomads. Kyrgyzstan is just the right place for trekking over incredible mountains and through memorable gorges. There is the second largest mountainous lake in the world Issyk-Kul on the way. You will experience the nomadic way of life far away from the frantic of busy and stuffy cities. 

 

Day 1: Bishkek - Chon Kemin valley
You meet your guide at Manas International Airport and he/she will accompany you to Bishkek City (30 min. drive), where your first day to Kyrgyzstan starts with breakfast. The rest of the day will be spent for Bishkek City Tour, including lunch. The tour includes the visiting of the central Ala-Too Square, Duboviy Park (Oak Park), Pobeda Square (Victory Square), the History Museum, National philharmonic, Oriental Bazaar, Art Gallery and many others places of interest of the capital. Then we will go to the Chon Kemin valley famous for its gorgeous nature and hospitable people and stop in the Kalmak-Ashuu Guesthouse, where you also will spend the night. On the way, we will stop by at the Burana Tower (minaret of the 11 century) and its attached open air museum of Balbans (stone warriors). Dinner is at 7 pm.

Day 2: Chon Kemin valley - Tamga
As soon as you are finished with breakfast that is served at 7 o'clock, you will start your trip to Tamga (380 km,) by car. This will take us 6 hours. We will move along the southern shore of the celestial Issyk-Kul Lake, also known as "the pearl of Central Asia. This is the second largest mountain lake in the world (1608m.above sea level). Dinner is served in the Tamga Guesthouse, where you will spend the night.

Day 3: Tamga - Jukku gorge - pass Jukku
We leave the Guesthouse at 8 o'clock by car after the breakfast and approach to the entrance of the gorge Jukku. From this place we will hike through the gorge until we arrive at the foot of the pass Jukku. Lunch is on the way. Jukku is a place where Kyrgyz nomadic shepherds still live in yurts and you have a great chance to try a national drink Kumis (alcohol fermented mare's milk). Your dinner is served in the open air and overnight stay is in tents in wild nature.

Day 4: Pass Jukku - Ak-Shirak
Breakfast is given at 8 o'clock. Lunch is after the hiking over the pass Jukku. Then the hiking will be continued along the Silk Road (7hours) inside the Ak Shirak mountain range (average level is 3680m above sea), which is famous for its mountainous Chokoli lakes which find their origin in glaciers. These lake have a wonderful view.  The night is spent in yurts near these lakes, as soon as you have a dinner.

Days 5-7: Syrty Ak-Shirak (3000m above sea level)
From Ak Shirak, it will take us 3 hours along the southern side of the Terskey Ala-Too Mountains to reach the foot of glacier Ashu-Tor, (3600-4200m).During this trip you will also see our gorgeous Ara-Belsu Lake. Ak-Shirak used to be the place where ancient traders hid from robberies where you feel like you are under the protection good spirits looking after you.
All nights are to be spent in traditional nomadic collapsible dwellings named yurts, which are made of felt and wooden frame without using a single nail.

Day 8: Gorge Ashu-Tor
After a breakfast you will hike over the pass Ashu-Tor that is 4000 meters high above sea level. This is where you will overlook the Ashu-Tor glacier, while having a picnic. Then you will come to the Ara-Belsu Lake before starting the descent to Ashu-Tor gorge by passing through the stunning Northern Ashu-Tor valley (7 Hours, 3250m). After your dinner your overnight stay is organized in tents.


Day 9: Gorge Ashu-Tor - Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu
After your backpacks get packed, you will be served breakfast at 8 o'clock before you start your 7 hours hike down to the Chon Kyzyl Suu valley and the old geophysics station (2650m). Lunch break is organized on the way. Your dinner is given at 8 p.m. You will spend the night in yurts just like real nomads do. A yurta is such a unique collapsible dwelling made of felt and wooden frame without a single nail, erecting and collapsing of which takes only hours, respectively.

Day 10: Gorge Chon-Kyzyl-Suu - Bishkek
Breakfast is at 8 o'clock. In the morning, you will be brought to the hot water springs of Jeli Suu, (1 Hours) where you can take a bath. After having lunch you will be transferred to Bishkek (350km) by car along the southern shore of celestial Issyk Kul Lake (1600m.ab.s.l.) via the magnificent Boom gorge. You will be in Bishkek at a Hotel **** approximately at 7 pm, where you will have time for yourself until you are picked up at 8 pm. You will have a wonderful farewell dinner in a restaurant with a national folklore show in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

Day 11: Return Journey
Your guides meets you again at your Hotel at the pick up time arranged up to that time according to your flight details and accompany you to Manas International Airport.
