Day 1: Tashkent
We are glad to see you in Uzbekistan journey 8. Upon arrival guide will meet and accompany you to Tashkent for city tour. In course of the tour you explore the Independence square which is known as the main square of Uzbekistan. Moreover it was built as a symbol of victory over fascism in World War II. After it you will explore the local Broadway that separate Independence square and Amir Timur square. After it you will have a ride in the famous Tashkent metro that is also known as one of the most beautiful subway in the world. The first line of this attraction was opened in 1977. After it you will visit the old part of the city to explore such sites as Chorsu Bazaar, Kukaldash Madrasah and Hast Imam complex that consists of several madrasahs, mosques and mausoleum. After it you will visit the prominent sight of the tours in Uzbekistan that is known to be the world's oldest Quran copy of to 8th c. Quran belonged to Othman Ibn Affan, the Third Caliph (of the four righteous Caliphs who succeeded the prophet Muhammad who was killes by the hands of non-muslims in 8th century. Day 2: Tashkent - Samarkand city tour
Today you will have a morning train to Samarkand. During the way you will know that this city is the second largest in Uzbekistan and moreover its age is similar to cities of Babylon or Rome. Upon arrival you will find it in the valley of the river Zerafshan. In course of Uzbekistan journey 8 you will visit such significant attractions as Registan square, Shakhi-Zindeh, Mausoleum Guri Emir and Bibi Khanum Mosque. The first sight that you will explore is the Registan Square that is known as the complex of three Madrasahs that were built in the 15-17th centuries. You will be mesmerized by the exceptional beauty of this complex. Then is the architectural complex of Shakhi-Zindeh that is made of huge collection of mausoleums of the 11th-15 centuries. This sight is a part of UNESCO World Heritage Site. And last one is the Bibi Khanum Mosque that was made for favorite Tamerlane's wife, after his success in India. Overnight is in the hotel.
Day 3: Samarkand - Urgut - Samarkand
In course of the tour you will drive to Urgut. It is a small village that is known for its noisy and colorful national bazaar. After it you will continue to explore the interesting and gorgeous sights of Uzbekistan like memorial complex of Al Bukhary. This complex was built to Al Bukhary who was Islamic scholar and become famous for authorizing the hadith collection known as Sahih al-Bukhari, regarded by Sunni Muslims as one of the most authentic Hadith collections. It is worthy to note that he wrote other books such as Al-Adab al-Mufrad. Night is in a hotel.
Day 4: Samarkand - Shahrisabs - Bukhara
During the tour you will travel to the place that attracts a lot of tourists due to being the birthplace of Amir Timur. This site is known as Shahrisabs where you can witness a lot of grans sights like Ak Saray Palace that was built by Amir Timur. Upon seeing the main gate you will see inscription that tells: "If you want to know about our power, look at our buildings". After it you will visit the Jahongir mausoleum that was made in honor of the eldest son of Amir Timur. His eldest son was killed in battlefield at the age of twenty years old. After his death Amir Timur had a great grief that lasted 30 years. In the end of this tour you will visit the Dorus Siadat and Dorus Tillavat memorial complexes that were built for all descendants and relatives of Amir Timur to be buried. Then you will continue your drive to Bukhara. Upon arrival night is in the hotel.
Day 5: Bukhara city tour
Today you will have a guided city tour to see the most significant sights of the ancient city that preserved until modern days. In course of the travel you will see the oldest citadel of Bukhara that is also known as the Citadel Ark of 4th century. This prominent sight used to be a palace for Bukhara Empire. Then you will enjoy the master work of 9th -10th century the Samanids mausoleum. After it you will enjoy the beauty of Chashma Ayub or Job's well and Bolo-Hauz mosque which is famous due to the forty columns that were built for Bukhara governor Abu-Fayud Khan. After it you will have some time to visit the shopping domes as well as the madrasahs that is known as the Nodir Divan Begi. This exceptional piece of art is also a part of Lyabi House Ensemble. At the end of the day you will see the Poi Kalon complex that consists of three structures of the 12th - 16th centuries that are known as the Kalon minaret, Kalon mosque and Mir Arab Madrasah. Day 6: Bukhara
In course of the tour you will see the attraction that lays in the area near Bukhara. The first sight to visit will be one of the most interesting sights of the tours in Uzbekistan, the Gijduvan village. Upon arrival you will see the famous private pottery workshop that has a long history. All secret of making ceramic goods passed from father to son. Nowadays this school is a home for Narzullayevs family that returned the glory of Gijduvan school ceramics all over the world. You will notice that their works made of geometric patterns and green, blue colors. After it you will drive to the previous capital of Bukhara region that is known as the Varahsha village. Here you will be able to witness the minaret of 1196-1198, under the reign of Ala ad-Din Tekish. After excursions we will return to Bukhara. Night is in a hotel.
Day 7: Bukhara - Tashkent
Today you will drive to see the surrounding area of Bukhara. You will have a stop at the Bahauddin Naqshbandi complex that can be found in few kilometers from Bukhara that was made for famous Sufi Leader and Philosopher. This sight is known to be one of the Muslim pilgrimage places for all people of Islamic world. It is interesting to note that he was one of the spiritual masters of Amir Timur. Nowadays you can witness complex of Kushbegi and Muzafarohana mosques, courtyard with pool, madrasah, and burial vault of Bukhara rulers and Dakhma upon the tomb of Saint Bakhauddin Nakshbandi. Later on you will visit the countryside residence of Bukhara Emir, the Sitorai Mohi Hosa complex that was built for the Emir's wife who died young. He named it as the "Star - like and moon- like Palace". Here you will see the mix of architectural styles. After excursions we will transfer to Bukhara airport for flight to Tashkent. Night is in a hotel.
